Yellowstone 2007, 2016

As I hop back in to family blogging, after a very long, too long, of a time, I decided to start simple and back track to some bigger events.  Let’s start here. We went to Yellowstone in July, 2016.  It was our first trip with our new-to-us pop-up camper we bought from our friends Chris…

Baby Brooks

Baby Brooks was an early surprise for his parents.  Is there one better than a baby, and the first boy of a family with only girls so far?  I cannot imagine there to be one more special.  Now this little boy, Brooks, is bouncing around with blonde curls.  Oh how time is a thief to…

Baby Natalie

There is nothing sweeter than a new baby.  And, Natalie was no exception!  And, isn’t she the teeniest?  Natalie is the first baby of my wedding couple, Jason and Ashton!  I love capturing growing families.  Thank you for asking me, you two!  Congratulations on Natalie and I look forward to many more sessions together.

Talk About It (Deer Park, WI)

October has come and gone.  Years ago I may have focused each day on talking about Down syndrome because October has been dedicated as Down syndrome Awareness Month.  Honestly, those “dedicated” months mean very little to me.  They take something personal and make it a holiday, or a Hallmark celebration anyways.  And, they have a…

Buss Wedding (Elmwood, Wi)

Congratulations are in order for the new Mr. and Mrs. Jason Buss!  I am beyond thrilled for Ashton and Jason who were married on August 1st.  They had been working towards this special day and envisioning the details for over a year.  We first met last October and again in February for engagement photos (see…

Amlee Family Mini Session Give-Away (New Richmond, Wi and St. Paul, Mn)

I am very excited to preview this special session I had with a family from the Twin Cities area.  Meet the Amlee’s; Kate, Roger, Joshua, Charlie, and Kate’s brother Andy.  The Amlee family was referred to me in April by a common acquaintance who heard about my give-away sessions for families with members who have…

Jen + Travis (Amery, Wi)

There is grandiosity in simplicity.  In it there is life, shared moments, and love.  Simplicity earns respect in a pressure filled world with beautiful things as it is tempting to fill our lives with details.  Jen and Travis did a lovely job maintaining their focus on one another, their family including their daughters, and their friends….

The Wind

Life is like the wind.  It just blows by.  Invisible, fast, changing.  It is true what they say.  Time flies the older you get.  I cannot imagine the years to come.  Children blow that wind.  They make it more interesting, quick, and powerful. To go back a couple of months feels a bit overwhelming with…
